Alex Berry says you can't just get only one of our Sparkling Shiraz Durif

Alex Berry reviews our 2009 Sparkling Shiraz Durif in the Shepparton News, 30 July 2011.

RUTHERGLEN ESTATES 2009 SPARKLING SHIRAZ DURIF
'Also made in the "method champenoise" style, blending the notable Rutherglen Shiraz (70 per cent) and the iconic Rutherglen Durif (30 per cent) to produce a wine that no other region can match for its complexity and full richness in flavour. Having the reputation preceding it, at 14.5 per cent alcohol this wine had medium intensity and flavour with spicy anise flavours tantalising the tongue. The tannins were soft and rounded and hidden behind them was a little sweetness coming through to finish clean. Check out your local wine store and buy three botles, one for tonight, one for next week and one for a special occasion.'
