About us

'Redefining the traditions of one of the world's best fortified wine regions.'

Proudly regional

We bear the name of one of the oldest and most recognised wine regions in Australia. Our mission is to produce the best and most regionally typical premium wines from varieties most suited to the climate and conditions of, and grown only within, the Rutherglen region.

Estate grown

Our wines are produced entirely from fruit grown on our own Rutherglen Vineyards. As the largest grower within the region, with vines planted on five estate sites, we select only the best fruit from these vineyards for Rutherglen Estates wines.

Quality, innovation & personality

Working closely together, our professional winemaking and viticultural teams use a combination of traditional and cutting edge methods to deliver an innovative range of top quality premium wines, each with a personality that reflects the 'ground' from which it has come.

Tradition redefined

Rutherglen Estates' ambition is to redefine the traditions of one of the world's best fortified wine regions, by producing not only these traditional styles, but importantly a range of premium table wines based on traditional, alternative and Mediterranean varieties.

Rutherglen Estates is now internationally celebrated for producing inspired varietals and blends from Viognier, Marsanne, Fiano, Savagnin, Shiraz, Sangiovese, Mourvedre, Grenache and Durif.

We welcome you to try our unique range of award winning wines available direct from our Cellar Door and secure online shopping facility on this website, or throughout selected retail outlets and restaurants throughout Australia.
