Come and sample some of the best wines the Riverina has to offer at this year’s annual Wagga Wagga Food & Wine Festival. We will be there from 1pm-11pm serving wines by the glass, and bottles for take-away. The event is ultimately a fundraiser for Wollundry Rotary. In the past five years, a single beneficiary has been chosen to donate all of the festivals earnings- past recipients have included the Wagga Women’s Health Care Centre and the Micah House. Entry is $20 for adults (children U18 free) with ticket sales only available on the day of the event. The entry fee includes a complimentary festival wine tasting glass, stubbie holder, and free water bottle from Eyecare plus. This can be filled at the ‘Big Springs’ stall all day long. This entry fee also gives you access to the festival and all on stage entertainment.
The event, now in its fifteenth year, takes place at the Wagga Wagga Civic Precinct and attracts more than 7,000 people. A token system is used for payment of wines by the glass, with eftpos/cash facilities available for bottle purchases. Patrons are encouraged to take their own picnic blanket and chairs. Don’t forget to bring a coat to keep you warm during the evening as being by the water it can become cool.
